Frequently Asked Questions
Designing Vinyl Questions
-
Can you create a lettering using a custom Logo?
Yes, we will need to see your logo to determine if it will need work to convert to a appropriate standard.
You can send your logo file to:

Graphic file should be in EPS format or a high resolution graphic.
- How big can you make vinyl letters?
We can create vinyl letters as tall as 22” and signs as long as desired by you.
- Will my vinyl sign look exactly like the proof on the screen?
Lay-out wise, yes. However the colors may not exactly match what you see on your screen. Due to the nature of your computer monitor and the hundreds of different set-ups that may be in place on a computer monitor, colors displayed are not “True Color”.
- I would like to order some vinyl letters. I do not see the font I want on your site. Can you create letters using my font?
Yes, we can create the letters to your specs if you can email us the True Type Font file.
- Is the grey background on our website part of the lettering?
No. We placed the grey background for windows behind our lettering previews in our online tool.
Shipping Questions
- How long does it take for the signs to be shipped and received?
Once you place your order and it is received by us, we will begin working on it. It generally takes 2-3 business days to process your order and 1-4 business days before you receive them. Larger quantities or logo orders may take longer to prepare and require longer to process.
- Can I order vinyl letters for someone else and have them shipped to the address I specify?
Absolutely. Vinyl letters make great gifts and we can ship to anywhere in the US & Canada. We can even include a personalized note from you, upon request.
Installation Question
- What supplies will I need to apply my letters?
You will need tape (masking or scotch), a piece of hard plastic (such as a credit card), and a clean surface. A measuring tape and a level can also be very helpful if you are concerned with getting the lettering up exactly centered or straight. An extra set of hands from a helper are also very useful with longer signs.
- What if I've never applied vinyl letters before?
Applying the lettering is simple. Just follow the instructions included with your order.
- How should I care for my lettering?
Indoors: Lettering can be cleaned using a window cleaner or other cleaner that you would use when cleaning your walls. Take care not to use abrasive cleaners or brushes.
Outdoors: In colder climates, decals on windows of vehicles can be damaged by the scraping of frost or ice from the windows. Mild window cleaner may be used to clean the windows without damage to the decal. On painted surfaces of vehicles, care must be taken when waxing. Wax will build up around the edges of the decal, and will need to be removed. Use a soft cloth, and take your time, and be gentle. DO NOT USE something such as a brush. It will only force the wax underneath the edge of the decal, and the decal will begin to peel. Your decal will not be damaged by normal use of car wash products, or water. Although the decals will withstand pressure washers, car washes, these will reduce the life and appearance of your decal. The decals will not last forever, but will give you many years of enjoyment if taken care of.
- How do I remove my lettering?
On glass surfaces a razor blade can be used. Decals can be removed from painted surfaces by using a hair dryer to warm the decal to the point to where it peels off easily. Heating the decal will not cause the decal to completely detach from the surface, but will loosen the adhesive to make it make easier to remove.
- Can I reuse the graphic once I take it off?
No. Once the decal graphic is removed is it no longer reusable.

Vinyl Quality
- Will your letters withstand winter elements?
Yes. The sun is their main enemy. Over many years the sun will work away at the lettering causing them to eventually fade & curl.
- Can you Guarantee color matches?
No we can not. A computer screen is illuminated, so the colors will appear different on the screen than they do in real life.
- How long can I expect my lettering to last?
According to the vinyl manufacturer, 5-6 years. A lot depends on the environment where the vinyl is located. If it is exposed to the elements, you can expect the life of the vinyl to be shorter.
TIP: We can cut your sign in reverse so that it can be applied to the inside of a window and read from the outside. This will help protect it from the elements. You can also upgrade to a higher grade of vinyl that is better suited for outdoor applications
